We have some amazing news at Kirby Hill CE Primary School …
We have been awarded a National Lottery grant called ‘Awards for All’ to help us to
continue and further develop our work on the Game of Actual Life. Children from Year
One upwards are learning about managing finances and real-life matters – such as
opening a bank account, paying tax, paying into a pension, purchasing a first car/house,
having insurance and paying utilities.
Our Game of Actual Life project will develop knowledge and life skills in key areas,
enabling children to fulfill their potential in later life. From January, the National
Lottery funding will allow us to employ two specialist teachers to run a club before
school, at lunch time and after school to further develop our understanding of crucially
important life-skills, enabling our children to build solid foundations which will
encourage them to go on to make healthy, informed decisions for a successful and
happy life as they reach adulthood. Please contact school to find out more about the
extra-curricular activities we will have on offer.
